Sahaja Yoga means Spontaneous Union which unites the individual to the Almighty – it is your birthright and does not cost money, as it is beyond this material world. Sahaja Yoga culminated from the teachings of all the great ones that came as Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Jew, etc. Therefore Sahaja Yoga is Universal and somewhat like The Temple of All Faiths for those who seek God. Sahaja Yoga is a totally unique movement that spreads peace, love, and harmony, because Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, an eminent spiritual leader, founded Sahaja Yoga and granted Self Realization free of charge across the globe for over 40 years, starting in 1970, was an incarnation who came to Earth as the embodiment of the special second Birth or Self Realization. According to the Holy Bible, The Lord Jesus said He would send us a Counselor, Comforter and Redeemer, and according to the Sahaja Yoga followers, Shri Mataji fulfilled that promise in her lifetime.
Sri Mohammed Sahib, an ancient devout Hindu, also spoke of the coming Mahadi who would give the Ruh and our Hands would Speak, a seal put upon the mouth and the feet would bear witness of all we have done.
“It is best if we do not diminish Her (Sri Mataji) gift of Transformation,” reads their outreach literature. “Only She is capable of giving that Kundalini Awakening which you can have as the cool breeze within. This is the Living Water of The Holy Ghost and you can feel it your hands, feet and above your head.”
Sahaja Yoga is a Global Happening that is now in over 150 countries and has more than 1 million followers who meditate each day.
“Anyone can come and enjoy the unity with all the other Sahaja Yogis in the Silence of Meditation,” said Peter Cordin, a devout Yogi and writer of devotional books of the movement. “And once you have your house in order, we request you pass it on for free by teaching others.”
Sahaja Yogis don’t believe anyone should make money from teaching their beliefs as it is beyond money, nor is it a business in fact – everything is always free, just like Shri Mataji taught them.
“As Her children we offer this beautiful meditation and purification at “No Charge.” The teachings and faith of Sahaja Yoga has spread across the world, and in Sierra Leone, the first convert was Patrick Sheriff, in 1985, a foreman then working at Sierra Rutile.
